The crowd rose for a standing ovation, giving a dynamic presence to this box seat view of the stage at NYC’s elegant Carnegie Hall. I shot without flash to get this dramatic composition.

This series of black and white photographs were shot with high-speed film, without a flash, often at night, with the intent of capturing an otherworldly view of the city and beyond. With images focusing on masses of forms emerging from darkness, they invite you to enter a surreal world of flickering light and shadow.
