One of the many bodegas that punctuate the streets of East Harlem was the basis for this abstraction in light and dark.

This series of black and white photographs were shot with high-speed film, without a flash, often at night, with the intent of capturing an otherworldly view of the city and beyond. With images focusing on masses of forms emerging from darkness, they invite you to enter a surreal world of flickering light and shadow.
