I stood on a traffic island in the middle of Times Square, hoping that the pattern of lights from the cars and advertisements would emphasize the streaming energy of the center of the world.

This series of black and white photographs were shot with high-speed film, without a flash, often at night, with the intent of capturing an otherworldly view of the city and beyond. With images focusing on masses of forms emerging from darkness, they invite you to enter a surreal world of flickering light and shadow.
