I have always been drawn to light. It brings out the essence of the environment, the subject of that moment. The blurred effect gives a feeling of soft-sweet calm so the viewer may be drawn into the moment. It is an invitation to enjoy that bit of experience, open to individual interpretation. Rain can add a lovely effect, making the streets shimmer. Dull paints pop and lights become glimmering balls of color reflecting off water-covered pavement. It adds a tranquil essence to the photos, momentarily stopping the movement of the city and offering a peephole into its quieter moments. In part of the series, I draw out the movement in light. Using my camera and lens as the tools, the light becomes visual sound.

I strive to transform the objects, people, and environments that surround us, to bring out the beauty in the seemingly mundane. They become representations of another reality, a tranquil reality rising from environments normally associated with chaos and constant movement.
